Treatment of cervical osteochondrosis at home

Cervical osteochondrosis is a common problem in the life of a modern person. A sedentary lifestyle, computers, phones and various gadgets contribute to the development of the disease. What should we do: run to the doctor or try to heal at home?

Benefits of home prevention

First of all, you need to understand that cervical osteochondrosis is a chronic disease and cannot be cured with a single pill or injection. The cartilage tissue between the vertebrae that is destroyed cannot be restored. You have to learn to live with it, stop the process of destruction and keep your health at the right level.

Prevention of osteochondrosis at home is the best way to combat it. There is no need to spend money on seeing a doctor or buying expensive medicines (it is not a fact that they help). Pills and injections only relieve pain and relieve suffering for a while. And the wonderful passes of manual technicians, which also cost a pretty penny, have long since failed to inspire confidence.

Let's see how you can prevent the development of cervical osteochondrosis at home.

Applicators

Applicators are suitable for pain relief and muscle relaxation. You can buy them in pharmacies and orthopedic stores. Alleviation of the patient's suffering occurs after the first use, and regular use normalizes sleep, alleviates headaches, and normalizes blood pressure.

The collar massager gives good results. This automatic device is equipped with a control panel with which you can adjust the degree of effect on the neck area.

The use of manual massagers, which often have a thermal effect, is also no less effective. The jade massager also works well. It is not cheap, but according to the reviews, it is worth the money spent.

Self-massage

Of course, you can go to the local clinic for a massage. But you have to adjust to the masseuse's busy schedule, waste time traveling back and forth, and pick up completely unnecessary viruses and bacteria in hospital corridors.

You can invite a masseuse to your home. Very comfortable. But believe me, joy is not cheap. How many times is enough for you?

It is much better (and more profitable) to learn how to give a healthy massage at home.

The neck with osteochondrosis should be massaged with both hands and the shoulders at the same time

So, how do you massage your neck properly? First, you need to sit comfortably in a chair and relax.

Important!Massage should not be painful. Sudden movements and strong impacts are excluded.

Basic rules:

  • the massage is done only by hand, without additional tools;
  • no strong pressure: every movement is soft, caressing;
  • the direction of movement from the vertebrae to the periphery.

Basic movements:

  • rubbing off;
  • kneading;
  • Caress;
  • pat;
  • tingling.

Scope:

  • neck muscles (lateral and back surface);
  • the back of the head

Place your left hand on your right shoulder while turning your head to the left. Start the movements from the neck and finish at the shoulders. Then switch hands and turn your head in the opposite direction. The session lasts 5-7 minutes.

Rubbing is done in circular motions from the neck to the shoulders. 3-4 approaches on both sides. The head also turns towards the opposite shoulder.

Applying the same movement principle, we perform 2-3 minutes of pinching on both sides. When hitting, your palm should be in the shape of a boat. The directions of movement are the same. The massage is finished with stroking.
